Draycott Scarecrow Festival 2019
We are proud of Draycott's community spirit and the annual Scarecrow Festival is the perfect embodiment of that, taking place this year on the August Bank Holiday weekend 24th - 26th. Each year, local residents submit a scarecrow for the competition, with the winners receiving a prize. The submissions are varied and often reflect the creator, with local businesses, community groups, schoolchildren and families all getting involved.
There is plenty to see and do at the Scarecrow Festival including a trail of the area, with maps being available to purchase for £3 from Monday the 19th of August at many local businesses. There are also lovely displays, as always, courtesy of the Draycott Village Fund and other volunteers.
Like many other businesses in Draycott, The Emporium will be open special hours across the weekend. We are open as normal on Saturday (09:30 - 16:30) and open 11:00 - 17:00 both Sunday and Monday.
We will have many deals on garden and outdoor furniture and accessories as well as ex-show home furniture, so come along and see what we have to offer besides a friendly atmosphere and warm welcome to Draycott!
